WORSHIP vs. PRAISE This Ought Not To Be So. As a young man in Bible College (about 30 years ago) I was always taught concerning this subject that (to put it simply) Praise gets you on the plane and worship takes you to the clouds. While there is certainly an elemental truth in that however the statement itself falls short of what God intended for worship/praise to be and consequently a division of right and wrong and even culture vs. culture has surfaced each one convinced they have it more right then the other. Frankly, both are wrong because the Truth becomes half-truth, limiting even misleading. In Acts 2:4 we read, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, according as the Spirit was giving them to declare. So looking at this passage as one example men had gathered in one place in the Spirit Realm a place of Holy Ghost unity and the Spirit of Unity (Holy Ghost) filled them all with different languages not one (to the natural ear) sounded the same yet in the Spirit of Unity being filled with Holy Ghost every man not only spoke his own supernatural language but in that (natural confusion) there was perfect unity because it was SUPERNATURAL, it was God. So that being said let us consider our understanding of Truth, our culture that tradition has molded our style of worship/praise vs. anothers understanding of Truth and traditions of culture. The truth is, that what has separated can not bind us together, what makes us different cannot bind us together. In the natural you can not mix oil and water yet God serves Oil and New Wine together all the time as it is SUPERNATURAL! The Bible says in John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. This literally means we are to worship God in the spirit realm and we also read in 2 Cor. 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. So the harmony, the liberty, the unity of all people all cultures in Gods Kingdom can only be found in the spirit realm, a supernatural worship/praise that invites the Spirit of The Lord producing liberty/freedom. This is the bases for the keeping of our Apostolic mandate spoken of by the Apostle Paul in Eph. 4:3 which says, Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. If there is to be a display of Gods Kingdom today, if it is to be as Poppa says, on earth as it is in Heaven then it must come from one people, a Kingdom people who walk in liberty and freedom with a supernatural lifestyle of worship/praise in the Spirit realm that will uphold and fulfill our Apostolic mandate of keeping the Spirit of unity in the bond of peace resulting in a people who have ONE VOICE and its language is LOVE and this voice that worships/praise in Spirit and in Truth will come into alignment with and speak BOLDLY the perfect will of Poppa revealing the Kingdom of Heaven making it in our generation and for generations to come, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.
