WORTHLESS INFORMATION. IN RARE BUT EXTREMELY REAL CIRCUMSTANCES THAT EVEN MOST TOP LEVEL TECHNICIANS WOULD NOT REALLY BELIEVE, YOUR PHONE CAN BE HACKED AS WELL. IN ADDITION, SOMETIMES PEOPLE CHANGE THEIR PHONE NUMBERS.. AS IN, FOR INSTANCE, IF THEY ARE BEING STALKED AND ALL THEIR SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN HEAVILY INFECTED BY A SINGLE NFC BURST. IN BY AIR, INVISIBLY IN YOUR INDOOR WIRING, BACK OUT THROUGH YOUR ROUTER AND APPEARING COMPLETELY AUTHENTIC. SIGNED, VICTIM, ANONYMOUS. Brendon Tristal 5:30am Brendon Tristal i just wrote that to google USELESS INFORMATION. IN FACT, DAMAGING INFORMATION. IF YOUR SMARTPHONE IS HACKED DEEPLY, AND YOUR COMPUTER IS TOO, AND YOU LIVE MILES (OTHER THAN HOPEFULLY, FRIENDS) A PUBLIC PLACE, STORE, OR PAYPHONE.... OPENING A DISPLAY CAN MAKE THINGS WORSE. SINCERELY, ME. Brendon Tristal 5:33am Brendon Tristal Basics: Recover your account via text message If you add a phone number as a recovery option, Google can send you a text message with a code to help you reset your password should you ever forget your password. To enable the text message recovery option: Sign in to your account. In the Security section, click Update recovery options. Select your country from the drop-down menu and enter your mobile phone number. (Dont worry about the format of the number. Dashes, spaces, and parentheses are optional.) You may enter your number with or without the country code. Click Save at the bottom of the page. We suggest contacting your mobile phone provider for details on costs associated with text messaging. These costs vary, depending on your wireless plan and provider. To send yourself a recovery code: Enter your username on the password-assistance page. After completing the word verification, select the option to receive your password via text message. Click Continue. Check your phone for a text message from Google. Enter your recovery code and click Submit recovery code. Type your new password. To keep your account secure, be sure to keep your security options up-to-date, and enable alternate recovery options. Brendon Tristal 5:34am Brendon Tristal Common issues Not receiving the text message with the code If youre receiving an error message when you request a recovery code, please note that theres a limit to the number of recovery code requests you can submit in one day. If you think that youve exceeded this limit, wait 24 hours and try again. If you havent received a recovery code, check this list of possible causes of this problem and some suggestions: Our service was temporarily unavailable. This may have happened while you were requesting a recovery code. Youve ported your mobile phone number. If youve just switched mobile providers while keeping the same phone number, text messaging may not work immediately. Please wait before trying again. Your provider blocked shortcodes. Your mobile provider might have inadvertently blocked you from receiving text messages from services that use shortcodes. Please ask your carrier to unblock messages from Google. Receiving repeated text messages Occasionally, if the communication between your mobile phone and your mobile providers doesnt go smoothly, you may receive duplicate message notifications. If you request multiple recovery codes, only the code delivered most recently will be valid. Turning your phone off and on several times may help solve this problem. If that doesnt help, ask your mobile provider to reset your text messaging settings. Disabling text messages with recovery codes To stop receiving recovery codes on your mobile phone, follow these steps. Sign in to your account. Click Recovering your password. Deselect the option labeled Use this phone number for password recovery via text message. Click Save.
