WOW!!!! Dance for Peace! :-) Israeli soldiers walk into a nightclub in Hebron, armed with assault rifles in full battle gear. The club, known to be frequented with a clan associated with Hamas, is full of young Palestinians dancing and celebrating a wedding. Typically, both in Israel and around the world, we’ve grown accustomed to news reports of things going downhill from here and of Israeli soldiers ruining the fun - breaking up the party or, worse, rounding up the revelers and humiliating them in some way. But that’s not how it went down this time. Instead, drawn in by the South Korean mega-hit Gangnam Style by the artist known as PSY, the soldiers joined in the celebration, dancing and making merry, eventually being hoisted onto the shoulders of the Palestinian party-goers. The video evidence of this event looked so bizarre and diverged so sharply from the usual narrative, that once it hit the Internet on a Palestinian website, it swept the Israeli national press and then the international news like a tidal wave. Even though it happened in the midst of the growing tension over Syria, this was a story nobody could resist.
