WOW EVERYBODY! Two best friend doggies scored a forever home together!!! WHOO-HOO! MONA, a 3-4 year old hound mix, was a stray found by the Humane Society. She looked of just had pups but we couldnt find any. She was so timid at first, but came out of her shell within a couple weeks. FESTUS, a 2-3 year old beagle is from Spencer County, Indiana. It seems FESTUS was the town dog that no one claimed but lived in the streets. Our rescue friend, DOTTIE CHILDERS, brought FESTUS to us from across the Ohio River. She told us of his plight. He had no shelter and was living in the streets off of handouts from neighbors. We were grateful that we had an opening. Both dogs were completely vetted by our doctor at the last clinic. Both were homeless and became best buddies at the Humane Society facility in a very short time! Had they bonded and talked about their similar plights? LOL We had to get them homes for the winter. We could adopt them separately with no problem. Well, that wasn’t going to happen. LOL SHANE ARMSTRONG visited our facility looking for a forever doggie friend. Recently, SHANE’S father and younger sister came to volunteer and had told SHANE about MONA, the hound mix. Both Dad and little sister though that MONA would be a great fit for SHANE. SHANE visited MONA and loved her but noticed a sweet beagle, named FETUS placed right next to her! SHANE had rescued a beagle before and it had fulfilled its last years with SHANE before her passing. SHANE was making plans to go out of town but came to visit both MONA and FESTUS every day and brought both of them treats and blankets to have while she was out of town. SHANE also donated some more Beds for our other dogs that didnt currently have one! SHANE returned from out of town and visited MONA and FESTUS once again. This time it was permanent. What do you do when you can’t make up your mind on which forever doggie? YOU TAKE BOTH!!! PERFECT!!! Fenced in yard, good vet records and now two best friends get to live together with a mommy who will love them forever!
