WOW! Im kind of humbled right now. For anyone who doesnt believe in miracles I feel like I just got a small one today! So with all the snow I went out and managed to only shovel our front sidewalk and a narrow path up to the house. Just this took me about 45 minutes. I went across the street an approached a neighbor with a snow blower and offered to pay them to help me do my driveway (it fits 6 cars) and he brushed me off saying he didnt have time (as I watched him do 2 other neighbors after that) So I am back in my house with a sore back and a sore ankle (I slipped) and on the verge of tears because I cant even go anywhere the snow is so deep and that is when my doorbell rang. Two young men (17-20ish?) were there with SHOVELS, not even a snow blower, offering to do it for me for any amount I felt was right. I asked them what the normal amount is. They said $10. I said absolutely. They are working right now and when they are done I am going to give them $40 (everything that is in my wallet at the moment - cant imagine they accept debit or credit card). So today I am SO THANKFUL that I got to witness a small miracle and I choose to see the beauty and wonder in every little thing - especially this act of kindness.
