WOW. Sharknado 2: The Second One / NYC was definitely the best TV movie Ive seen all year! (And maybe Best Movie period!) I was GLUED to the TV -- didnt look at my phone *once* for 2 FULL HOURS! I never saw Sharknado 1: The First One / Los Angeles, and Im told tonights sequel was much better, but if S1:TFO/LA is even 1/5 as good as what I saw tonight, I cant wait to go back in time! -Tara Reid. Need I say more. She was born to play this part. I was sad to see her (SPOILER ALERT!) lose her hand in the first 10 mins of the movie, but her (SPOILER ALERT!) prosthetic chainsaw-hand, so worth it! -Ian Ziering. Deserves an Emmy for Best Intentional Bad Acting. Im pretty sure it was intentional? He was more stiff, and off on his timing and facial expressions, than a veteran General Hospital actor! That takes YEARS of practice (in Anthony Gearys case, nearly 80!), its not something youd expect from a guy who appeared on a horrible 80s show and then did multiple stints at Chippendales in Vegas. And yet he made it look easy! -Full of unexpected social commentary on issues ranging from interracial relationships, NYCs tough gun (and chainsaw?!) control laws, Wall Street greed, and um, peace in the Middle East -- okay come on, isnt three more than you expected?! -Kelly Osbournes brilliant cameo. Only complaint aside from it having to end after two hours -- I really feel like they wasted the talents of Perez Hilton in his 5 second cameo.
