WOW!!! Someone must have seen my post about helping the lady at the store. I just checked for mail when I got back and found an envelope in the mailbox that says Jeff Inside I found a black piece of construction paper folded over a regular piece upon which I find the following correspondence: Dear Sir, Our church became aware via word of mouth and social media that you have been seen extending yourself for others in the community several times, 4 of our church goers have assured me that theyve been touched on more than one occasion viewing your kindness and generosity to those in need even in your own personal times of struggle. It is this kind of action that reflects the teachings of our church, of the Lord, and of men and women who seek to emulate Jesus. It is no concern of mine if you are a Christian, as you are still looked upon as a role model in this capacity. Id like to extend my sincere gratitude to you for all youve done. Enclosed you will find a check which reflects the remainder of our fund we set aside for helping those in the community. I personally believe, after hearing about your acts in such glowing terms, that you deserve every cent of this donation. Do with it as you please. God bless you and keep you well, we collectively pray for you and your family and thank you for being someone who proves its still possible to bridge the gap between say & do. Youre an inspiration to us all, and as long as I have the opportunity to give something back to someone Ive heard good things about since roughly 2009, Im going to take it. Signed - Your Benefactor .......Thats...the coolest surprise Ive ever received. Ive never been so flattered and proud. This check is too much! I didnt spend this much on my car! Wow this really choked me up! How cool is that?! Im not keeping the money, Im going to donate it to charity. This is just too much money. Yes Ive done nice things for people but Im no angel, Ive also done a lot of stupid things. I have everything I need to survive...many people have it worse than me. I dont know if Im going to donate it all to one or several or what. But Im gonna pay it forward. The feeling I get from the gesture and the recognition is plenty. Whoever did this, THANK YOU SO MUCH! AMAZING...
