WOW WOW WOW!! We saw the Dragons Backbone Rice Terraces today - Absolutely Stunning!! There must be a sub-division in heaven that looks like this! Never knew of all the veggies that could be grown in a rice terrace...eggplant, sweet potatoes, corn, ginger, chili peppers...lots of deliciousness. Visited the minority village of the Cong people, population of 400 people - the ladies of the village get 2 haircuts in a lifetime! Their hair can reach 2 metres!! The secret to their healthy, thick hair, no shampoo, just use boiled rice water! Who knew! LOL Its wrapped up in their hats during the day. The Cong people are living the life at the top of those rice terraces, hard work farming the levels, but gorgeous, naturally designed wood homes & beautiful natural food. The people are pure sweethearts. I found two of the cutest, little old ladies sitting together, I asked for a picture with them and they agreed! Tiny cutie pies!! Its kind of tropical, rainforest, humid feeling here in Guilin. This area is also known as the,Pearl Set In The Vast Land of China Had the chance to see the fields of trees where our Chinese Christmas Oranges come from....and let me tell ya they come from a beautiful place!
