Oh… well maybe the information below will help. “What should I write about?” It’s pretty simple: If you’re asking this question, then you’ve picked the wrong site to write for. We’re looking for people who are passionate about the topics that they write about. We want people who sit at work all day brewing new decks or looking up prices on eBay. It’s the people with an opinion and a vested interest in the game that write the best articles. “I’m not famous, is that okay?” We can’t afford famous. Let’s do this! “How long should my article be?” You’re article should be between 2,200 and 3,200 words. Keep in mind, longer is not always better. One of the skills that good writers have is to be able to say what they want with the perfect amount of words. Not too much, not too little. “When can I expect to hear back?” Nothing is worse than sending in a submission and then listening to crickets until you’ve given up any hope of hearing back. It wont happen with your submission. You should hear back from us within 24 hours. It might be a little longer if the editors are busy, but rest assured, you will hear back. “My name is Mister MTG, I’ve been playing …” New writers tend to start their piece by introducing themselves. This helps to get the blood running before they start to craft sentences on their topic. Try to avoid this. A short introduction in a piece is okay. “Will I get paid for my articles?” We’re just starting out, so we can’t drop the big bucks just yet. We can pay a small amount of MTGOdeals1 bot credit for your submissions. Naturally, if you win a GP or something similar, we can offer more than if you write about your sweet Commander deck.
