WRLR 98.3 Community Radio Station Hosts a Christmas Radiothon Fundraiser | To Support Public Community Radio Operations ROUND LAKE HEIGHTS, IL - The WRLR Christmas Radiothon fundraiser which will air starting Friday, December 12th at 6am and continue through December 14th at 9pm on 98.3 FM with a live broadcast from the Round Lake Heights studio. This 64-hour Radiothon will showcase some of the best programming and share what WRLR is doing in the community. Tune in to hear the amazing all-volunteer WRLR radio personalities who will go on the airwaves to a local and global audience. WRLR is known for its volunteerism spirit and is a previous Governor’s Home Town Award nominee. “Going into our 10th year of operation, it is exciting to see the positive responses from our listeners, sponsors and community partners about our programming and services. All donations contribute to the general operating expenses of WRLR in order for it to continue providing local news/talk shows, eclectic programming and broadcasting opportunities to the audiences we serve,” said Bish Krywko, President of WRLR. “We are grateful for the support we have received the past decade and hope it continues for many more years.” The following programs are scheduled to participate in the Christmas Radiothon: Lepek & Company (Paul Lepek & Tracy Spadola), Sports Corner (Rusty Silber, Pat Cameron, Ron Pecorini, Matt Rosenberg, Alex Trammel), Cast & Blast (David and Joshua Jakes), The Mighty Marmalade Music Hour (Sean Hauser), Young Classics (Jacob Menheer ), The Sunday Retreat (Ben Burkhardt and Sara Jackson), and Something Different (Chris Zimmerman). WRLR will also be supporting the Village of Round Lake Heights with a food drive to benefit local food pantries. Listeners can drop off non-perishable food items to the station located at 619 W. Pontiac Court in Round Lake Heights on December 12th, 13th, 14th between 12noon and 5pm daily. During the Christmas Radiothon, listeners will be encouraged to support WRLR with donations starting at just $10. All money raised in the Christmas Radiothon will allow WRLR to continue its services to the community, as a public community radio station.
