WSSC rehab athlete Dan Garside (coming back from ACL, constant - TopicsExpress

WSSC rehab athlete Dan Garside (coming back from ACL, constant hamstring injuries, lacks acceleration and strength) completing box squats with one sec pause for development of lower body strength and size development (Hypertrophy phase 4 x 8 @ 85kgs - 2 mins rest between sets). Most rehab athletes that come to WSSC have completed the basic activation and flexibility programs BUT lack performance programming (maximal strength & power, reactive work, explosive hip extension, sprinting mechanics, landing & jumping mechanics) needed for athlete to return to the field in better condition than pre injury! WSSC methods are based around developing our athletes bi lateral (double leg) strength relative to the athletes body weight. Athletes that are stronger have greater power, speed, agility and work capacity potential .... Strength is king and the foundation of all athletic attributes! Contact WSSC now for a science based approach! Coaches tip; Push back at the hips Knees out Big chest Control the way down (negative) Tight on the box (do not fully unload on the box- no kinetic energy) Trunk upright (vertical trunk) Drive through heels (heels away from ground) Explode up (intention to move quickly) With strength training emphasis is on quality not quantity and creating the perfect rep!
