WWBIC-Southeast has an opening for a Loan Officer! This is a full-time position responsible for identifying, analyzing, underwriting, and closing micro and small business loan applications in accordance with WWBIC policies and guidelines primarily in Kenosha County, Racine County, and the surrounding counties in the Southeast Market. Responsibilities include: identify and assist potential borrowers; coordinate, analyze and underwrite loan applications; support existing borrowers; maintain strong portfolio quality and performance; develop and maintain contacts within the local financial and economic development communities; develop new business and maintain a presence in Southeast region; develop and foster key relationships to ensure collaborative partnerships with area financial institutions and other key referral partners. This position requires a minimum five years experience in commercial banking, underwriting or accounting; Bachelor’s degree required. A strong background in small business financing preferred. Experience in community development lending is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy necessary. Strong analytical and problem solving skills desired. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced organization to meet deadlines and performance goals. Valid driver’s license and proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required as the position requires travel within the state. Some evening/weekend hours may be required. The ideal person is flexible, positive, and has a sense of humor. Must present a positive, professional appearance at all times. The salary is competitive, depending on qualifications.
