WWE or TNA: The Future of Sting. “I think it would awesome to - TopicsExpress

WWE or TNA: The Future of Sting. “I think it would awesome to have at least 1 match with HIM.” Sting on Undertaker, Forum Radio May 2013 “Ive always said I wanted to work with Undertaker, and who wouldn’t want to appear at a Wrestlemania.” Sting on VOC Radio Network June 2013 “When I went into the TNA Hall Of Fame, I asked Dixie if she was putting me out to pasture, she said no, but with everything going on I am just not so sure.” Sting on his status in TNA on VOC Radio Network June 2013 “He has always treated me great.” Sting on Vince McMahon various times over the years. With the Holiday weekend behind us, there was a bit of news that had everyone talking after last Monday night, and shockingly it wasn’t 100% about The Wyatt family, but instead it was about a promo video that aired promoting the history of World Heavyweight Champion, and one in particular, Sting. Usually the annual Sting-to-WWE rumors start in the fall and carry into the winter, but this year they are starting a lot earlier. Apparently, there are even some reports that Sting has sent feelers to WWE to gauge interest, and apparently there are also “reports” that the WWE feels that Sting is just about in the bag. Reportedly Sting’s TNA contract is up in January and of course thats just in time for “The Season”. But weren’t we close to this in 2011? According to Sting himself, yes they were, but according to an urban legend a last minute pitch by Dixie and a promise of the TNA title made Sting go back to TNA. At age 54, what would Sting bring to the WWE table? There is the obvious of the huge show down with The Undertaker for Wrestlemania 30, an eventual Hall of Fame induction, DVD collection, merchandise and video game appearances. At age 54, the financial upside of this for Sting and the WWE is endless. It’s the smart BUSINESS move for both parties. Storyline wise, besides the show down with Undertaker, are where things are cloudy. While the program with Taker would take him from his debut into WrestleMania, the question is: what would Sting do post WrestleMania? He would not have to work a full time schedule, as WWE has shown with Y2J, Lesnar, Taker, RVD, and others, they are no longer against the part time schedule, which at 54 would work wonders for Sting. Obviously, the Raw before WrestleMania could easily have Sting wrestling in his first official WWE match on Raw battling Kane as a preview for the WrestleMania match with Undertaker. After that though, it really is up in the air as to who he would work with. Who would you want to see Sting work with if he went to WWE? Do YOU want see Sting in the WWE?
