Wada tasks Nigerians on peaceful co-existence The Governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris Ichalla Wada has called on religious leaders in the country to emphasize the virtues of peace and good neighbourliness as vehicles for rapid socio-economic development in the country. This was contained in a Sallah message signed by the Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, to the governor, Mr Jacob Edi. He said Nigerians have come a long way and urged people to work and pray for the continuous integration and economic well being of the country. The governor called on the Muslim Ulama not to forget the demands of high moral standards and holiness which he said are hallmarks of the Ramadan fast, urging them to allow the lessons define their lives even long after the festival might have been over. The Governor advised Nigerians to see the Edir-Kabir festival beyond a public holiday and an annual ritual for wining and dinning, but rather use the period for spiritual renaissance and deep reflection on the tenets of holiness, love and peace, which are the pillars of all religions.
