Wadada Cautioned Over Comments On Gov Al-Makura The criticisms of Nasarawa State Governor Tanko Al-Makura by the former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Ahmed Wadada, has attracted wide condemnation with many urging him to exercise restraint in his comments. Leading in the call for civility is the special adviser to Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura on Revenue Generation, Alhaji Abubakar Usman Sandaji, who regretted that he had previously held Hon Wadada in high esteem. He said that his misleading attacks on the person and government of Al-Makura had dissipated any respect he had for him. He said, “Wadada is not born to be governor and can never rule this state as governor, let his soothsayers and Mallams tell him the truth about that.” He said that the member who was allegedly disgraced out of office as a personal assistant to the FCT minister should not cast aspersions on Al-Makura who was doing his best to salvage the state from the symptoms of the 12 years of PDP misrule. Alhaji Sandaji told the Keffi-born former lawmaker that such mindless criticisms have only made him more unpopular in addition to the unpopularity that saw him lose woefully to the CPC in the last general elections. “Who is not aware that Al-Makura’s land reform policy as espoused in NAGIS project has revamped the revenue base of the state from a meagre 20 million monthly to over 200 million in just two years?” the revenue generation adviser querried. On his part the Senior Special Assistant to Al-Makura on Media and Press Affairs, Sani Musa Mairiga, observed that “Wadada is completely detached from the reality on ground since he hardly stays in the state. He goes about Gallavanting and boot licking for self recognition. This man betrayed the FCT minister who tried to resuscitated him after his disgraceful defeat at the poll.” Mairiga said Wadada should bury himself in shame because what his PDP failed to achieved in twelve years in Nasarawa state CPC has done it in two years.
