Waiting Patiently TODAY’S BREAD “But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40 : 31 TODAY’S WORD The purposes of God often develop slowly because His grand designs are never hurried. The great New England preacher Phillips Brooks was noted for his poise and quiet manner. At times, however, even he suffered moments of frustration and irritability. One day a friend saw him feverishly pacing the floor like a caged lion. Whats the trouble, Mr. brooks? he asked. The trouble is that Im in a hurry, but God isnt! Havent we felt the same way many times? Some of the greatest missionaries of history devotedly spread the seed of Gods Word and yet had to wait long periods before seeing the fruit of their efforts. William Carey, for example, labored 7 years before the first Hindu convert was brought to Christ in Burma, and Adoniram Judson toiled 7 years before his faithful preaching was rewarded. In western Africa, it was 14 years before one convert was received into the Christian church. Yes my friend in Christ, Today if you are in a situation of being grown weary in waiting for the God after so much of prayers, hard work, labor, tears, failures etc. then this is the word that God wants to tell you. Yes his Grand design for you is on the way, your deliverance is very near, you’re going to be filled with a new strength, and yes God is going to raise you today my friend. Your long expectations and wait for the Lord is going to be over. The day is very near that you will say like how the Psalmist said in Psalm 40. “I did not give up waiting for the Lord. And He turned to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the hole of danger, out of the mud and clay. He set my feet on a rock, making my feet sure.He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and will put their trust in the Lord.” – Psalm 40:1-3 Yes if you are hurrying for something then just be patient for a little while and suddenly God will hear your cry, He will take you out from that miry clay, He is going to wash you and set your feet on the Rock Jesus, your feet will be made strong and steady, you’re going to run a great run and people seeing you will trust and believe that Jesus Christ is the LORD. Yeaaaaa. Amen Amen. A PRAYER FOR TODAY Father we thank you so much for this wonderful day daddy. Daddy we are waiting for you patiently God. Hear us our cry and deliver us from all our problems today. Come speedily to help daddy, let our enemies see the salvation you give us and believe that you’re the only living God. In Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen Amen
