Waiting to board and for some reason 33 years of history is running thru my mind...all the memories made in this airport. From watching my brother come and go many times to and from his Naval assignments, to the day we spent what seemed like a year sitting on the tarmac and missed our connecting flight in Chicago on our way to camp at Black Lake in Michigan, flying alone to spend weeks with my grandparents in Arizona (both of whom have since passed) and out to see my brother get married in Florida and to spend time with him when he was stationed in Long Beach California, college trips to Denver, KC, and DC while serving on Camp Fires National Youth Roundtable, Chicago as youth leader at the Natl Safety Council Convention, many trips with amazing Pampered Chef consultants heading to conferences and meetings across the country, going to Disneyworld with my kids and hubby, running into friends as we travel here and there (like David Shelley Edwards Brumbaugh today), flying out for cruises and amazing free vacations to Europe, Canada and beyond courtesy of Pampered Chef...I dont think Ive ever flown for a funeral til today. A lifetime of memories have started and or ended in this airport. I hope the next 60 years are as exciting as my first 40.
