Wakf Board refuses to part with airport land. Board Asks Saroornagar Tehsildar To Withdraw Notice Authorities at the revenue department and the AP State Wakf Board (APSWB) have locked horns over the prime 50 acre land parcel at Pahadi Shareef near the international airport.The APSWB recently sent a strong letter to the Saroornagar tehsildar asking him to ‘immediately withdraw’ the showcause notice, claiming that he had no jurisdiction over the land parcel.It was earlier reported in these columns that on June 28 Saroornagar tehsildar K Chandra Reddy had written to the APSWB CEO asking him to explain why the revenue department should not begin proceeding for land resumption.
