Waking Dreams and why I still love Apple. Our household has 7 computers, 6 Apple, 1 PC. (Dont ask.) 12 years ago I found myself having to reinstall the operating systems on 3 Apples and my 1 PC. Coincidentally my life went through great changes, including a kind of software install of my consciousness. Just before the new iPhone 6 came out, we had to get new iPhone 5s. Last week I had to replace my iPad due to a hardware issue. I had gone into the Apple Store Genius Bar, and had the problem diagnosed (not connecting to cellular) and walked out with an upgrade in 15 minutes. Apple gave me a significant trade-in amount for my dysfunctional iPad applied to my new iPad Air 2. This week I had to schedule a Genius Bar appt. for today because my MacBook Pro was acting up, not connecting with external drives effectively. Within 15 minutes they diagnosed the problem, bad sectors on the hard drive, replaced it, charged me about $160 for the cost of a new HD and labor and I walked out with an restored laptop with a new HD. (I dread PC issues...whether Best Buy or Frys or Other, it takes hours, days, weeks...with no guarantee of a solution...) So now I am clearly getting a hardware upgrade spiritually. Hmmmm...wonder whats going to happen this time... Perhaps an invitation to participate in a cloning experiment using human subjects? 🎭
