Waking up to an email like this has me in tears. Of all the things Tim achieves and does, sharing hope and inspiration like this, is worth more than all the accolades, excitement and gold we could ever receive. I am always deeply touched when we hear from parents who say Tim is their hero and gives them inspiration. I am so proud of Tim and humbled by the goodness of others who reach out and share with us. I live in Oakley, California. My 3 year old son was diagnosed with Autism just a few months ago. But the struggle, started much earlier. As a first time mom, my sons doctors continued to say just wait and that everything will happen in time if I just waited some more. It was also suggested that I was an emotional, overtired first time mom and that I just needed more rest. At 11 days old my son had severe gastric reflux and had trouble putting on weight. Our stories are similar, our tenacity is similar, our accomplishments will be our own. I am inspired by your familys achievements and am so proud of your hard work. Thank you for coming forward and telling your story. The TED talk could have not come at a better time. I hope to make the New York city trip when Tims play arrives next year.
