Waldorf, Chemistry and Life. Wealth is like concentric electron - TopicsExpress

Waldorf, Chemistry and Life. Wealth is like concentric electron rings in an atom - it is imaginary and transient. Atoms are clever, intelligent and smart (because God made em all, Vivienne Webb!). They know they have to experience life, thats why they have variable oxidation states, but at the end of the day, what drives them is coming down to the lowest energy level (minimal wealth) because that is their most stable state, where they can be peaceful and secure for a long time. Manganese has five oxidation states. Using our family philosophy and Waldorf principles, I asked G to tell me which is the best state for Manganese to be: Mn2+, Mn2O3, Mno2, (MnO4)-2, (MnO4)-1. (The scientific rationale behind it is seeking the most optimum state based on (1) how much energy needed to strip the electrons out and (2) how much energy released when the compounds are formed). G: Uh, dunno about Manganese, but me, I want to have the most rings. Its more exciting and I like being rich. So if I was Manganese, I would just be Mn, and not give away any of my electrons. This is why I DONT homeschool this child full-time. And this is why I have to take breaks and FB when I am homeschooling her.
