Walsenburg Police Blotter May 4, 2014 4/22/14--Nikolas Garner, 26, of Walsenburg was arrested for assault and harassment, both domestic violence related, in the 1000 block of Nevada. 4/22/14--Louis Montoya, 36, of Walsenburg was summoned for trespassing on Stacy Drive. 4/22/14--Alicia Garcia, 31, of Walsenburg was arrested for domestic violence related assault on Riverside Drive. 4/25/14--Dale Pineda, 48, of Walsenburg was arrested for failure to drive in a single lane, DUI/DUID, and driving while license revoked as a habitual traffic offender in the 500 block of Hendren. 4/26/14--Betty Cruz, 64, of Walsenburg was arrested and summoned for failure to signal, DUI, and failure to provide evidence of insurance in the 400 block of Main St. 4/27/14-- Jeremy Aguirre, 33, of Walsenburg was arrested for burglary and assault in the 500 block of Welton Avenue. 4/28/14-- Michael Garcia, 33, of Walsenburg was arrested for an active warrant in the 700 block of Main St. 4/28/14-- Mary Furphy, 26, of Walsenburg was summoned for ‘at large/nuisance dog’ in the 400 block of E. Seventh St. 4/29/14--Derek Zeman, 29, of Walsenburg was arrested and summoned for assault on a peace officer and disorderly conduct in the 100 block of Walsen and 200 block of W. Sixth St. 4/30/14 & 5/1/14--Officers were dispatched to an assault in the 500 block of Pennsylvania. Investigation the following day (1 May, 2014) led to the arrest of Michael Montez, 27, of Walsenburg on charges of attempted murder, first degree assault, menacing, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and three counts of child abuse; Jason Thompson, 30, of Walsenburg was arrested on charges of attempted murder, kidnapping, false imprisonment, two counts of child abuse, and obstruction of telephone service; Mia Manzanares-Duran, 26, of Walsenburg was arrested for false imprisonment, and two counts of child abuse. 5/2/14--Jimmy Bellah, 18, of Walsenburg surrendered to authorities on a warrant in the 500 block of S. Albert.
