Wanderers Squash Quickie: Issue No. 5 Please ensure that you enter your partner’s pin number as well as your details when activating the lights otherwise you will be charged a visitor’s fee (R30 off-peak periods & R50 peak periods). Action will be taken against players using other members pin numbers. Courts 3 and 4 have been damaged by players using the courts with marking sport shoes. PLEASE ensure that you and your partner are using the correct non-marking squash shoes when playing squash at the Wanderers! Action will be taken against players caught using the incorrect footwear. The men’s bathroom is now open! Unfortunately, we are now experiencing difficulty with the geyser. I have contacted the main club and the problem is being attended to. Four courts have been booked and members are encouraged to “Pitch & Play”. If you don’t have an opponent I am sure that there will be one there waiting for a game. The cost is free for members and R50 for guests. Thursday Nights will be the “Mellow Squash Night” (doubles) from 6pm onwards for the next few weeks. The cost is free for members and R50 for guests. Please bring protective eyewear. Sunday Juniors- I will be starting a Junior Sunday Clinic for juniors of all standards from 10:30am until 12pm. All juniors are welcome. The cost will be free for junior members and R30 for junior non-members. I hope to see you there. There has not been much interest shown in the Wanderers Squash Club “Box League”. I think that it is because the year is nearly over and things are beginning to slow down.
