Want another measure of how consistently cold this winter was? - TopicsExpress

Want another measure of how consistently cold this winter was? Portland finally reached 55 degrees on April 7 for the first time in 132 days. That only ranks as #12 on the all time list, with the longest stretch being 162 days in 1971-72. But it was the longest stretch in more than a decade. Here at the NWS office in Gray, we still havent hit 55 degrees yet with the current stretch of 142 days being the longest stretch recorded in the 19 year history of observations here. The good news is that there is warmer weather in the forecast! Many areas may hit 60 degrees by early next week.
