Wanted - Palmer Cues - Dead, Alive, or barely breathing. I am a collector not a dealer, an end-user looking for cues from the first, second, and third catalogs. I will consider anything from perfect original to banged-up user to broken/damaged for parts. If your wife smashed your Palmer dont trash it, the parts can save another cue. Not all Palmers carry identification. If you are unsure what it is, I can identify from a picture. Send me a PM if you have a Palmer for sale or have a lead on one. Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------- Within every Catalog, Palmer produced cues that did not bear the Palmer logo nor have the window which was common to their other cues. Its been discussed before whether these cues are truly rare or just not recognized as Palmers. In the absence of production records, it is difficult to know for sure, but the unlabeled Palmers seem to be somewhat rare, or at least more difficult to find. First Catalog Model 1s, Second Catalog Model As, and Third Catalog Model 4s are in abundance but that is more likely due to commonly held belief that they were made in the thousands. The models further up the food chain are those we encounter less often. So here is a gander at a selection of the nameless Palmers from the First and Second Catalogs. From left to right: Second Catalog - Models H, C, & A. First Catalog - Models 4, 3, 2, & 1. First Catalog Model 1s are somewhat interesting in that the width and configuration of the plastic rings in the butt vary in size and orientation. Particular attention should be given to the Model 2.Chris Tate set this free from his collection and it is quite special. It is one of few Palmers made from a WICO blank and it was previously featured on his notable website The Palmer Collector. If it wasnt for Chris dedication to unearthing the history of these cues, the information on Palmers would be sparse.
