Wanted: Baggage / Ramp/ Cargo Handling Agent at Airlink By: Admin on AUG 13 Airlink has a vacancy for Baggage / Ramp/ Cargo Handling Agent in Upington PURPOSE To ensure the handling of passenger’s baggage on and off the aircraft. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE Mminimum education requirement is a Grade 12 certificate or equivalent. Must have customer services skills. Literacy, numeracy and good comprehension of English. Must have a valid driver’s license. Must be willing to work shifts. Will attend training as and when required to do so. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Loads and unloads cargo from the aircraft. Ensures that cargo is handled safely to ensure that no damage is being done to the goods. Sort, load and unload all baggage. Assist with uplifts. Assist with cleaning of aircraft on turnaround. Will assist with duties within the context of my job description. Responsibilities must be carried out in accordance with company standards and Occupational Health and Safety Standards.
