Wanted to share the story of me and Aaroon A Waltoons first anniversary. We had Kayla Walton on August 2, 2000 and had been overwhelmed by her having to spend her first 6 days in the NICU. We were exhausted emotionally and physically and were so happy to be able to take her home. My Mom came to visit and handed me a card. Thinking it was a card about the baby I opened it and glanced at it because I could barely take my eyes off of Kayla who was in my arms. My Mom asked if I even read it and I said I was sorry then I read it relising it was a card for our anniversary! My Mom asked if we even remembered and all Aaron and I could do was laugh knowing that this is what life is about and that all that mattered was our babies! Although we acknowledge and sometimes celebrate our anniversaries and are so glad we still have each other, we dont usually give presents or flowers, we just relish in the fact that we have a FAMILY!
