Wanting someone does not mean you love them. Possession in - TopicsExpress

Wanting someone does not mean you love them. Possession in relationships seems to be a form of safety in the sense that you find someone you think has qualities you love based on the expectations your preconceived notions give you and therefore can utilize as an escape from the pain inherent in the self. However, when the honeymoon phase is over and you are let down in the relationship, its disappointment, fighting, break up and on to the next human band aid. Why??? The same mind that analyzed you into the relationship will analyze you right out. Because you cant analyze why you love a person. Love is not experienced in the mind. Its experienced at the core of your being. Youll know you love by the feeling of peace and security you have. People are not and never will be responsible for your happiness. You are. Because your happiness exists in you. When that is realized, co existence with a partner not only becomes easier, but it actually becomes possible because you are no longer two people desperately clinging to ideals and assessments of one another, youre both one soul exploring and appreciating the facets of itself. #longfacebookrant #ibeenthinkinibeenthinkin #thankgodforlove :)
