Warehouse Supervisor Nacala Nampula 1. Responsible for maintaining inventory and supplies o Maintain storage area as directed by Warehouse Manager o Conduct physical stock check (Daily & Monthly) o Investigate and report variances to the Warehouse Manager 2. Control the receipt, dispatch & administration of inventory against authorised documentation o Supervise and prioritise bulk issues to internal branches according to KERRIDGE. o Make stock orders to the Head Office. o Supervise the receiving (checking) & verifying (physical to system) of stock from branches as well as stock returns o Record relevant information onto bulk copy and enters onto KERRIDGE o Supervise the consolidation of stock back into store o Ensure that bulk copies are signed by two different Store-man o Ensure stock is dispatched correctly o Attend to daily and monthly paperwork o Attend to queries from branch and customers o Resolve queries 3. Organise and arrange the availability of vehicles and drivers to meet daily delivery schedule o Vehicle Management: Log books; route control; fuel reports, services, yearly inspections o Communicate with branches & customers regarding requirements & demands – get all deliverable out for the day o Plan drivers routes o Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventative maintenance and calling for repairs 4. Provide supervision to subordinates to ensure continuous service delivery o Ensure staff that there are enough staff in the warehouse to serve clients at all times o Handle grievances o Facilitate and encourage team effectiveness o Ensure that employees are motivated and driven to achieve objectives o Monitor absenteeism and maintain at agreed recognised level o Manage conflict and handle disciplinary y process as per P & P 5. Create and awareness and manage Safety, Health & Environmental Standards o Identify and report health and safety issue to safety rep for rectifying o Report & resolve all hazardous situations immediately o Ensure that Health and Safety equipment is available and ready for use o Prevent Incidents /accidents by effective operating equipment and machinery, and by following health and safety procedures o Ensure that health and safety procedures are adhered to and updated as laid down by legislation Requires a Class 12 school certificate and at least 2 – 4 years working experience in a stores or distribution environment. . Previous supervisory experience will be an added advantage Specific Requirements: Forklift License and/or Driver’s License A good understanding and working knowledge of Safety Legislation.
