Warmwell Whirlwinds Here is some very rare footage of 263 Squadron and their Westland Whirlwind fighter-bombers actually at RAF Warmwell during the war. The background trees at 0:29 is Knighton Wood, which is one of the few original areas of the airfield that still remain. At 1:00 one can see the Fordson tractors that towed the aircraft and the bomb-trailers, one of which was still in Dorset until very recently and was present at one of the previous historical exibitions held in the village.
