Warning: 18+++, EXTREMELY graphic and distressing images, further evidence of Assad regime crimes against humanity In Yarmouk camp, this man’s skeletal remains still lie where he was shot dead by a regime sniper in November 2013 #Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp, #Damascus, 24-11-2014: This civilian’s skeletal remains have now been lying in Yarmouk camp’s Palestine Street for over a year after he was shot dead by a regime sniper while attempting to rescue another resident who was being used as a human shield by Assad’s forces in November 2013. The body cannot be retrieved since anyone attempting to rescue it is themselves targeted by the regime’s snipers. The regime and its accomplices from the Tehran-backed National Defence Force militia, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command (PFLP-GC) and Fatah al-Intifada , who have maintained a crippling siege on Yarmouk since September 2013, continue to use the camp’s residents as human shields in order to protect themselves from resistance fighters, with regime snipers targeting anyone who attempts to save these individuals, including ambulance staff and other civilians. This young man’s body has been lying in Palestine Street since he was shot in the face and stomach by Assad’s killers and left to die on November 11th, 2014, with the footage from SHTAT PAL, the Palestinian Diaspora Information Centre, including film of him as he was dying just after the shooting, and of his remains earlier today. His is is not the only body lying in the streets of the camp which other residents, including family and friends, are unable to retrieve since they too will be targeted by the regime snipers.
