Warning Army Rant : I am so proud of my husband for serving in the Army, and for all the thing he sacrifices so that he can provide for Javian and I. We are blessed to live in Hawaii and to have the opportunity to see and do all of these awesome things . . . BUT : I absolutely cannot stand to live in a place where I am referred to as a Dependa ( a woman who is lazy and stays home all day while the husband goes to work) . Or the fact that I am not a size two makes me the worst kind of Dependa. I keep hearing all of things like there should be a weight limit for wives to use the Commissary ( out army grocery mall) or, there should be a Fat Dependa only beach so that no one has to look at us. I have never been surrounded by people who are so judgemental, and rude and hurtful. I have never been to a community where they make women who are not TV stereotypical Army wives (non realistically perfect ) to come out to barbecues, or to Army functions of to the beach. Guess what. I stay at home with son. My home clean, not perfect but clean. I put effort into every meal I make for my family. My husband knows that I have everything taken care of at home and financially and that if he needs anything he can ask and I will jump up and do it . So for someone to judge me one for being a military wife, or two for being a plus size woman,like being a bigger woman automatically makes us less capable, you can step off and I feel sorry for you. I have an awesome God . An amazing family. And a husband who runs alongside your husband and fights for our freedom.
