Warning! Todays project is mildly addictive, and you may find that you cant crochet just one pair! Galilee Slippers, by Tara Murray, use several different crochet stitches to achieve a perfect slipper shape. The pattern is written to use three or four different colors, but you could make a more conservative pair all in one color...or let your imagination go wild and use a whole rainbow of colors! Apart from the soles, each row takes so little yarn that its a great stashbuster project, too. The sample slippers were made from various leftovers of Dream in Color Classy , but any heavier worsted weight yarn would work - be sure to swatch so the sippers fit! Written to cover child size 8 through womens size 10, the pattern is $5.50 and can be purchased through Ravelry - or if youre local, you can always stop in and buy it in-store. (There is also a baby version sold separately, Galilee Booties, that covers newborn through 24 months - the blue pair shown above is the 18-24 month size.)
