Warning to all dog owners; I did a silly thing last night, I did know better but thought this one time would be ok. Well, I gave Coco a cooked leg of lamb bone, I thought I will just let her eat the meat off of it then throw it away.. Before I knew it, she had demolished 1/3 of the bone.. All was ok until this morning when she vomited up 6 times multiply bone fragments, honestly they were like small sharp stones, Coco then became very quiet and was shaking. I took her to the vet, she was X-rayed, given anti-nausea injection and given medicine for next 5 days. We were lucky, most of bone fragments were gone and no damage. Simply we all know not to do it, so dont, it could have perforated a vital organ. Cooked bone doesnt digest like raw bones do, also cooked bone is sharp and can get stuck or pierce internals, can be fatal!
