Warning to my Australian friends about ALDImobile. They will - TopicsExpress

Warning to my Australian friends about ALDImobile. They will sell you a Value Pack via their website, but it doesnt mention on the plan overview page that you cannot use the Value Pack to make international calls or SMSs. Only if you click through to a new page, via a link in the fine print at the bottom of the page, can you learn about this important restriction. Aldi Mobile are refusing to convert my Value Pack over to a standard unrestricted plan, describing it as user error. (Im not even asking for a refund, merely a conversion to a plan that meets the need that I expressly bought the product for.) Im lodging a complaint with the ACCC. My Optus Communications experience tells me the ACCC will consider Aldi Mobile to have insufficiently disclosed the restrictions on their plan, and theyll be forced to provide me with a refund. Of course, if they wanted to keep me a customer longer term, they could just do the right thing without me needing to get regulatory intervention...
