Was contacted today by the manager of ONeills sportswear.. He explained to me that he had been away and came back to find the problem regarding the shirts and the furore which had arisen from it.. He went on to explain about ongoing ONeills donations to the Gaza appeals and that the wording of the item being Political was unfortunate and if somebody had taken the initiative to call me, could have been sorted early days.. I explained our own position with regard to the shirts and the good that they could have enabled to be done with regard to the ongoing campaign to raise funds for the beleagured people of Palestine.. To cut a long story short and as a goodwill gesture, he has offered to print off 50 t shirts of behalf of ONeills and donate to us as a gesture of goodwill.. I accepted he offer and asked that he donate them direct to Fra Hughes who is doing absolutely sterling work in Belfast raising both funds for Palestinian charities and also the profile to people in the street of the slaughter being visited on the victims of a murderous Zionist state.. Every penny from the sale of the donated shirts will then be able to go direct to physically help the Palestinian people.. Would like to draw a line under the episode following the gesture by Kieran in ONeills and thank all who took an interest in the proceedings...
