Its very telling that no-one knew Ed Miliband was in Blantyre until Thursday morning, the day of his visit. Its very telling it was an invite only event. I wonder how many - if any - locals were actually present in the miners welfare centre. Very telling he left quietly by a side door. Compare that to the welcome Alex Salmond and team received in Glasgow yesterday - it was like a party. There were precious few No camp posters in Blantyre, at least Ive only noticed 2 or 3 a few weeks back and they didnt last - so reports of them being taken down in the past few days are incorrect. YES signs are up in many places.
