Was in the Safeway parking lot while it was still hot out and heard horrible screaming howls coming from the parking lot. Went over and sure enough I followed the howls to the big ego asshole sized truck. Sure enough I find a small pit-bull puppy in distress. I reached to try and unlock it and rescue him ,but couldnt. I went in to tell the cashier who seemed rather irritated that I was beginning to cause a scene. I mentioned calling the cops and the owner showed up real fast. And of course if his pit-bull, and giant white truck with giant tires that were even bigger than his ego didnt say Im an asshole his tattoo covered body, backwards hat and assholeish demeanor said it all. I told him ; You just left your dog in a hot car. Hes fine, we just went to the river and the window is rolled down. He assured me. Obviously he isnt, because hes crying out for help. He could get heat stroke. A car is at least ten degrees hotter than outside and they cant withstand heat like you and I. Their body temperature runs warmer than ours. Then he buts in Look, can I just pay for my stuff so we dont have an argument. At this point there were several people gathered around to watch the scene. Look, if you dont want an argument dont leave your dog in a hot car. That simple. He could get heastroke or die. Why would you own a dog only to kill him? You dont want to take proper care of your dog dont own one. Asshole! Yes I Serena Dawn Ann Kasner am the dog Nazi. People of Grants Pass , if you leave a dog in a hot car I will find it and rescue it. And if my ridiculously short cabbage patch kid arms dont permit me to reach through the window and do so I will hunt you down and give you a piece of my mind. I dont take kindly to animal abusers. Ive said it once and I will say it agian. There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for leaving animal in a hot car. If you own an animal leave it home on hot days. If you dont want to go through that trouble to give it the love and care it deserves dont own one. But owning one just to murder it from the horrible death of sweltering from heat stroke is sick and wrong. It is abuse. Plain and simple. No quick trip in the store is worth it. Having a four legged friend is a privilege not a right! Those little guys depend on you for their every single need including their health and safety. Ugh! There should be a license required to own a pet or reproduce. Had I been able to unlock the car by reaching my arms through I would have taken the little guy and rehomed him to someone that actually cares enough about him to not put his life in danger.
