This episode of Throwback Thursday is a short story; In 1973 at the age of 15 I started as a carry out at Smittys...I was a proud guy...being child #4 of 5 kids its what was expected of us...when you got old enough...you got a job...anyhow...I would feel so proud to cash my $40.00 checks each week....as Thanksgiving was approaching I wanted to help out my family and supply the turkey paid for with my own money...I still very vividly remember riding home on my 10 speed carrying this huge turkey to surprise my mom...I wanted to do my part...like most folks we didnt have a lot of money...to be honest with you...I felt like a million bucks...in the 41 years since...I have always supplied the turkey....every year I am on a quest to find the biggest turkey in the valley...very successfully I might add...so..here we are...this year is no different...I think this may be my biggest EVER...!!!....thank you for allowing me to reminisce ....
