Was making arroz con salchichas last night. Couldnt get the jar of roasted red peppers open so I took one of the very sharp steak knives from the butcher block and attempted to pop out some of the air in the jar to make the lid looser. The knife slipped and sliced DEEP into 2 of my fingers. Talk about gushing blood. I opened the cut and it was so deep you could see inside my finger. There was blood EVERYWHERE. All over my jeans, the floor.........I soaked about 6 towel papers trying to hold the sucker closed. Luckily I had a friend coming over so I called him and said, where are you? I cut myself and need help. He was already in my parking lot. I started down the stairs from my dining room to the entryway and started to feel REALLY dizzy. I sat down on the stairs and when I came to he was banging on my door and there were pools of blood all around me. I let him in and he thought he was in a crime scene (retired cop). He tied up the wounds until the blood stopped oozing and thank goodness it finally did and now I have two fingers tied up tight and throbbing. I definitely needed stiches but didnt get them. Im hoping that when I take the bandages off, the cut is at least partially closed. Ouch. Bad bad episode!
