Was perusing a Jeep forum and someone asked why so many people feel the 1995 Wrangler is one of the best years for the Jeep. We have one and I can tell you that 1995 was the last year for the YJ model......was the ONLY year with a galvanized frame and body, was the last year for leaf springs (the next model, the TJ, came out with a major redesign that included coil springs and a car-like feel), and was the last year with the open-feel cockpit with tons of room. There was no 1996 year but the next model, the TJ in 1997, was a shortened ride that became more of a luxury ride than a classic Jeep ride. In my opinion, a Jeep Wrangler (or Rubicon as they were rebadged) should ride like a JEEP, not a CAR. That was my contribution to the discussion and yes, its my final answer. :)
