Was sitting here reminiscing about some crazy things I did as a child growing up in rural New Mexico. We lived out in the country, but we had this street light that was near the trailer we lived in at the time. Just after dark in the summer time, bats would come feed on the bugs flying around the light. Being a boy, my first thought was how in the heck can I kill one if those bats. I thought for a second, picked up a small pebble tossed it in the air, sure enough the bat would dive for it, then at this last second dart away when he realized it wasnt a bug. I said hmmm, I got this. Ran inside got the broom, hurried back outside grabbed another small pebble tossed it in the air. It dived down, and held steady til the last second, swung the broom sent that bat flying across the yard. I went 4 for 5 that nite, to this day, late in the evening youll see bats flying around, Ill think about grabbing a broom.
