Was totally brought back to the inspired by this vision of change in Obamas 2008 campaign. I remember when Obamas election was announced, my friends were crying out of joy. I remember visiting Washington, D.C. a month before his inauguration; this type of energy was addicting. Whether you agree with Obamas policies or not, whether you respect him as a president or not, whether you think he is a brilliant orator or not, you cannot argue that he delivered on his promise of attempting to bring change to the nation - be it right or wrong change. When I visited Africa, we heard quite often when we mentioned America that we lived in Obama-Land. 6+ years later, with soldiers withdrawn from Iraq, Affordable Care Act in action, Immigration policy reform, and proposed free Community College, its interesting to see this promised change now part of history and wonder where this change will take us in the future.
