Was visited today by an elder and a friend who passed away some years ago. The visit was the memory of him, not a vision of him, and a story he told me about Tawakkul (utterly relying on the Divine) and that the Spiritual Traveller no matter how poor or empty-handed they perceive themselves, they must go the limit of what they can possibly do in their state of not having. Though I miss him, I am grateful for what little time we spent together and grateful as well for his visit today. May Allah bless you Hajj Abdel-Aziz Redpath!
