Was wondering if you would re-post this? I wrote this years ago for an assignment in high school. Figured I would share it with the group, seeing as today is September 11th. World Trade Disasters September the Eleventh, A day people will not forget, The twin towers stand no more, Side by side as a set. One hundred and ten storeys, From ground zero to the top. The North and South towers, one by one they would drop. Terrorists hijacked the planes, Only knives within their hands. Promising all the people, Complying with demands. Minutes from alert to crash, The South tower soon would fall. Collapsing into ruins, No longer standing tall. Just thirty minutes later, The North tower would crumble. Covering the streets in dust, With a massive rumble. Reading stories to children, President Bush was informed. Sitting there while terrorists, Flew through his skies they swarmed. There were too many victims, Many left unrecovered. Friends and family, hearts broken, Memories still hovered. September the Eleventh, Friends and family still cry. Remembering the victims, Their memories will not die. Thinking back to those we lost, All the families left unwhole. Feeling empty and alone, The futures they have stole. Rp LeeAnn
