Washtenaw Faces Race Community Conversation: Race and Youth Empowerment Saturday, March 15, 2014 1:00-4:00 pm Ypsilanti High School 2095 Packard Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48197 The Young Peoples Project will host a community conversation in partnership with Washtenaw Faces Race around the issue of Race and Youth Empowerment. Attendees will have a chance to take part in one of three breakout sessions that will discuss the systematic contributions to the dis-empowerment of minority youth, participate in a conversation with high school students around what empowers them, and take part in a activity in which participants will experience what it feels to be disempowered. Morghan Williams from The Young Peoples Project will also present on the idea of empowering youth through mentorship.
