Washtenaw Faces Race Community Conversation: Race and Youth Empowerment Saturday, March 15, 2014 1:00-4:00 pm Ypsilanti High School 2095 Packard Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48197 The Young Peoples Project will host a community conversation in partnership with Washtenaw Faces Race around the issue of Race and Youth Empowerment. Attendees will have a chance to take part in one of three breakout sessions that will discuss the systematic contributions to the dis-empowerment of minority youth, participate in a conversation with high school students around what empowers them, and take part in a activity in which participants will experience what it feels to be disempowered. Morghan Williams from The Young Peoples Project will also present on the idea of empowering youth through mentorship. We invite you to come out and participate in a stimulating, informative, and eye opening discussion! Free and open to the public -- all are welcome!
