Watch out for Nakambala Leopards this season. Hi there My name is Makokwa Kozi Jnr. I want to share My thought with you about how I rate the Chances of Nakambala Leapards in the FAZ Super division. Having lived in Mazabuka for about six years I believe I have a better understanding of Nakambala leopards. I am going to bring up what I believe are the strengths of this team which will help them maintain their spot in the super division. Goalkeeping Department. Moses Mapulanga: Under 20 international. I knew this boy when he was still playing for Nkabika hot stars in the Nakambala Inter-township Sports Assocition NISA under the tutelage of a man I only knew as “Nyankuleke”. Moses is a fantastic goalkeeper who on his day is difficult to beat. You might have been privileged to watch the boy when he was in goal for the Zambia under 20 national soccer team at the Cosafa youth championship in Botswana were the likes of Evans Kangwa made their mark. His height gives him an advantage as he stretches as though he was elasticated. Even after having represented the country at junior level the boy has managed to maintain his cool and has not let the national team call up get to his head. I believe this boy went through the hands of Stanely Mutinta the former Leopards Goalkeeper who was a marvel to watch. Defense Webster Sergio Mulenga: popularly known amongst his peers as “Umusenesene” Webster is a hard tackling defender who dons jersey number 5 for the Sweet Boys and is one of the Skippers. The dude poses a fierce shot and could be dangerous on set pieces especially free-kicks around the 18 area. Sergio usually reminds me of the former Zambia international Jones Chilengi with his composure on the ball. You can always rely on him for cover. He will be a difficult man to beat in that defense. Midfield. Kelly Kumwenda: Probably one of the most disciplined footballers I have ever seen of Course alongside Brazilian international Ricardo Kaka. He is a typical description of a holding Midfielder who has also proved to be a utility player. Kelly has been ever present for the sweet boys and has now turned into a veteran. He is a specialist in long and accurate passes and poses a lethal right foot and can hit the ball with so much power that most of the goals I have seen him score are from long range (he has the eye of an eagle). Am sure if you are a soccer follower you might have realized that Kelly’s Attributes are pretty much the same as the former Manchester united midfield wizard Paul Scholes. Kelly is just a maestro and that is why his peers and most of the fans now refer to him as “Papa”. Wilmore Deco Hatembo: Just like Moses Mapulanga I have known this boy since he was still playing for Nkabika hot stars. I was not surprised to hear that he had started to feature for the sweet boys but what surprised me is how the boy managed to stamp his authority in the middle of the part and has now become a regular in a team full of veterans. He now commands his position just in front of Moses and Kelly. This boy’s strength lies in his head. He is just a midfield genius. A Super intelligent midfielder Deco as he is fondly known among his peers the boy reminds me of one of Zambia greatest football talents the late great Arron Njobvu Red Arrows and Zambia. Deco’s foot is not only a gifted passer of the ball but a skillful dribbler who if well natured could go a long way in his career. It is no wonder he was voted young player of the year at the club Strike force. Danny Masumba: I remember while I was working as a radio DJ at Mazabuka radio the dude provided me with some great R’n’B jams a clear indication that the he is a music lover. Away from his love for music Danny is a powerful striker who if left unchecked could be dangerous to his opponents. He poses a powerful shot in his right foot and is also a deadly from dead ball situations. He produces Cristiano Ronaldo Like free-kicks on his day. The first goal I ever saw him score was a thunderbolt of
