Watch the raw brutality of nature as this praying mantis is - TopicsExpress

Watch the raw brutality of nature as this praying mantis is clearly designed to, in this case, eat a fly alive, face first. I actually enjoy entertaining the possibility that the universe is designed. But we must ask, what kind of deity would design animals that consume other animals alive, and unto what purpose? This is actually a very serious question. Did the deity use evolution to create these creatures, or did the deity design the DNA of every kind of organism outright? If the latter is the case, then the deity designed creatures to devour other creatures brutally as a matter of course. Why the needless brutality and suffering? Surely a powerful enough deity could design creatures that would only eat plants, or even get their energy directly from the sun. Christian mythology would have us to believe that all the animals on the earth only ate plants before the fall of Adam. This notion is problematic because there are creatures whose whole design is streamlined to be a predator. Were all animals proactively redesigned to be predators after the fall of Adam? Did sharks eat seaweed before the fall? What did the piranha eat? Did these animals have their sharp teeth designed for devouring flesh before the fall? Did they have digestive systems proactively designed to digest meat before the fall? It seems like the Christian deity put a whole lot of effort into designing ecosystems where predators can flourish. Was this to punish Adam? What would be the purpose of such an intricate and complex design that breeds innate and disgusting brutality? https://youtube/watch?v=rwPaUma6R_k
