Weve already seen the first salvos of this automation revolution occur ... since 2008 most individuals are underemployed or unemployed through no fault of their own ... and more jobs are being automated daily. Once 20%, 30% or the 47% that an Oxford automation study suspects will be unemployed within the next 8 years, what will happen to the rest of us? This is THE problem of our times and we have advance warning. What to do now that we know the army of drones and bots and watsons are at the gate is the real question ... neo-Luddites please refrain from wasting everyones time by stating how we should destroy the machines. They are here, and they are here to stay. The only unanswered conundrum is what to do now.
