Watch this video, does it make sense to you? Scroll down and see my reply: Admittedly, some of these arguments are thought provoking. But modern understanding of physics makes some of these questions irrelevant, to say the least: 1. How can something comes from nothing? A: Light is both wave and a particle. Hence, light is nothing and something at the same time. This is almost too simple. 2. Complexities cannot happen by chance. A selection of simple things cannot coalesce to form something more complex (parts of a car cannot come together to become a car) A: Don’t use car as an example because it is clearly man-made. Use eyes as an example, every complex part of an eye must work together to make the eye function, without any small part of an eye, the eye would not work. But evolutionary speaking, there never was half an eye, just eyes of less complexity. From the simplest light sensitive eye, it evolved into light sensitive eyes with blurry picture capabilities, leading to eyes with better picture, leading to eyes with clear picture and colour. Almost too simple to answer guys. 3. Something cannot create itself, to create itself, it needs to be something and nothing at the same time. A: We are surrounded by things that exist and do not exist at the same time. i.e. Electron & light. Hence, these things are something and nothing at the same time. Also, particles are essentially empty space, and many different empty space if arranged in a particular manner can be as solid as a rock, or as hollow as the brain cavity of the video creator. 4. Everything has a beginning and an end, If there is no beginning to this video, how to you get to the middle of it? A: Beginning and ending exist solely because of perception. If no one perceives this video, this video does not have a beginning, neither does it end, and if no one perceives this video, no one is ever in the middle of it. Similarly, the universe is perceived to have a beginning and an end, because we are perceiving it. To the universe itself which does not perceive, there never was a beginning, neither is there an end. There is only change. 5. There are only 3 options to choose from 1. Believe in an uncaused cause 2. Believe that nothing has a beginning (including yourself) 3. Disbelieve in everything that exist. (video maker chooses option 1 as if it is a matter of fact) A: If you choose 1, you have very limited understanding of physics and hence, should not be making the choice in the 1st place. The answer to the question is both 2 and 3. 2 in the sense that everything has a beginning and end only when perceived. 3 because everthing that ‘exist’ only means everything we can ‘perceive’, which is not reflective of their actual state of existence.
